Cardiac Catheterization (Coronary Angiography

This procedure involves the passage of a catheter into a blood vessel of the arm or leg; advancing the catheter into the heart and its arteries. A dye is injected which enables visualization of the coronary arteries. These arteries feed the heart muscle its blood supply, and blockages of these arteries can cause heart attacks.
