Arrhythmia Detection
Event Monitor - This is an ECG monitor that the patient keeps for 30 days. The purpose of this device is to capture intermittent rhythm disturbances. Symptomatic events are transmitted to a monitoring facility, which sends hard copy strips to your physician for his review. At the end of the monitoring time period, you physician will discuss the findings.
Holter Monitor - This is an ECG monitor that is worn continuously for 24 hours. The monitor is placed on the patient on one day, and returned the next day to be scanned. It is used to detect irregular heart rhythms.
