• Heart Walk Campaign Kick-off - October 2010
  Carolina Heart & Vascular Center will host the Director of Corporate Relations of the CSRA Heart Walk (scheduled for March 5, 2011) for a kick-off meeting. She will inform the staff of the mission of the Walk, and how the funds which are raised will be used in the community. We will also be discussing how to set up internet donations and preparing events for fund raising.

• Vascular Lab Accreditation Renewal - August 2010
  Carolina Heart & Vascular Center is pleased to announce that our non-invasive vascular imaging lab has received its accreditation renewal from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC). The IAC is a national, non-profit organization which evaluates and accredits diagnostic imaging facilities to high standards, thus improving the quality of patient care in private offices, clinics and hospitals. The reliability of these tests are vital to the diagnosis of vascular disease and stroke prevention.
• Implementation of EHR - October 2009
  Carolina Heart & Vascular Center implemented a fully electronic health record in October 2009. We are using a Nextgen system which is nationally certified. This system includes all available functionality of an electronic health record such as medication lists, allergies, past medical history, office notes and reports, electronic medication prescribing, etc. Carolina Heart & Vascular Center will expand the use of this system over time to incorporate electronic lab orders and results, and patient education pamphlets.
