Weems R. Pennington, III, M.D.

Dr. Weems Pennington, III obtained his undergraduate education at Furman University, and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his internship, residency and cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Pennington began his private practice of cardiology in Augusta, Georgia in 2007, and moved to Aiken to join the Carolina Heart & Vascular Center in September, 2010.

Dr. Pennington is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cardiac and peripheral arterial and venous disease. He also performs treatment procedures for specific adult congenital cardiac abnormalities.
